Use this interlocked safety shield on lathe chucks, balancers, rotating shafts, or flywheels. It is versatile and includes a built-in electrical interlock switch. The gas strut (gas spring) behaves similarly to a car tailgate strut. It keeps the guard open and prevents it from falling.
