Install this safety foot switch on machines where a machine operator might be subjected to dangers such as being caught or pulled inside its mechanism. These footswitches have three positions: OFF/ON/ESTOP. The middle position enables the switch, and the third position locks out the control and shuts down the machine. Once the third position is pressed, the footswitch is tripped and locked out. To reset the foot pedal, press a button on the top to bring the pedal back to regular operation.

In this situation, the pedal automatically stops the machine and goes into a lockout state until the reset button is pressed.
